Open OnDemand events at SC'19 in Denver next week

For anyone attending SC’19 in Denver next week (https://sc19.supercomputing.org/), please be aware that we have several Open OnDemand related events:

Mon - Thurs:

  • We will have demos and OOD related giveaways the whole week at the OSC booth (#947, pretty much right in the middle of the exhibit hall)
  • There will be demos of XDMoD (11AM) and ColdFront (3PM, 1PM Thurs) each day in the UB booth (#1832)

Mon:

  • 9AM – 12:30PM, 3rd Workshop on Interactive High Performance Computing, Room 506. Bob Settlage will be presenting.

Tues:

  • 5:30 - 6PM, Presentation: Supercomputing. Seamlessly. Interactive computing with GPUs via Open OnDemand. Everywhere., NVIDIA Booth (#901), Alan Chalker will be presenting.

Weds:

  • 12:15 – 1:15PM, BOF: Open OnDemand User Group Meeting, Room 607
  • 3:30 – 5PM, Panel: Democratization of HPC through the Use of Web Portals, Room 201-203, Kate Cahill will be presenting

Just a reminder to everyone in the Open OnDemand community that is attending SC’19, we have several OOD related events this coming week, in particular a User Group Meeting at 12:15 on Weds.

I’ve posted the presentation for that meeting on the main OOD website (openondemand.org) and would encourage anyone interested to briefly review it in advance, in particular slide #19, which lists the ‘Items Coming Soon’. The second half of the presentation has details on each of the 20 items listed on that slide, but we likely won’t have time to cover them all. Instead, we’ll ask the audience which items they are interested in and will give an overview of those during the meeting.
